Secure the scene. Put on a Lane 1 + 2 closure and await the professionals.
Don't approach - just wait for supervisor to attend
Hold all the traffic back to avoid any vibrations that may move the van. Grab a two rope, throw it on the back of the van and the back of your jeep, taking the tension, putting the handbrake on hard and getting out quick thus giving the van a "safety" line.

Yes – 96mtrs is the overall stopping distance at 70 mph according to the Highway Code
NO – 96 metres is not enough for vehicles to safely stop.
There is a bigger gap between the following vehicles and my DRA says to stop them!

Put on a lane 2 and 3 closure and let cars run down the inside and hope that the sheep can get back to their field without affecting traffic flow too much.
Close the affected carriageway and chase the sheep in the vehicle to try and coax them into a field
Close both carriageways in case the sheep jump the central reservation and ask for RSPCA assistance whilst trying to coax them off the network.
Do nothing - The sheep will get back safely without our help and if not then someone will have a nice lamb hotpot!
