Thought i'd Post to say Hi, Am not a traffic warden, but it's intresting to read a bit more about your job, and dispell some of the myths ( that you hide in dark corners waiting to pounce on un-suspecting drivers )

So what does a typical day consist of?
Do you guys get much abuse from the public, surly there must be some upsides to the job?

It is that bad - I've been a P.A. for 2 years and is pretty rock bttom.

Hi,
I'm here, you sound like you need cheering up think of the positives I've been a pa [sorry ceo] for 4 years now and I don't mind my job. I get given an area to cover at the start of my shift and then its up to me I can go as far or as near to my base as I want so on a sunny day I can have a nice long walk and on a cold rainy day I can stay closer to base or go mobile. The job is well paid in my area. I've got no one looking over my shoulder as long as I'm out doing my job I get left to my own devices. So one way of looking at is I can be my own person which in a lot of jobs you dont get a minutes peace, I can meet up with my colleagues and have a laugh at break times so whats not to like.
ok I know this is the rosy view and I could drone on for hours about the negatives but whats the point its like anything else its what you make of it....

it's good to hear that the job is not all bad.....

I would have thought that not having a supervisor over your shoulder all day was a big plus for the job and as our 'Guest' has also put great to be outdoors........ that i do miss......

Pehaps next time you pass through 'Guest' you might want to sign up on site and make a few more Posts.. and spread the word..........
