Not sure if this is the correct area to post this topic. If not then - sorry.

I have my medical this week and not sure what to expect. Can anyone help ?

Are glasses allowed, what tests etc.

I am fit & health so should not be problem.

Many thanks.

Yep, don`t worry too much about it. My hearing has been affected by doing a lot of shooting but I got through. Eyesight shouldn`t be a problem, just take your normal glasses. Lung function, should be ok, Blood pressure, if you`re fit and healthy shouldn`t be too much of a problem and as for the BMI test. Well, one word describes that................... Slabber! elephant Very Happy

Plus they'll want you to provide a sample of urine. They claim its to check for illnesses but I reckon it's either to test for drugs or to get you used to people taking the p*ss. Very Happy

Also, if the doc gets you to bend over, make sure he doesn't grasp your shoulders firmly! Embarassed

Indeed. Lung capacity test shouldn't be a problem.

Just pray you don't get the doc with the big hands Laughing

The medical seems to depend on where you go for it. I didn't have the lung function test or the hearing test. But then my appointment was at dinner time and I think that was more important to the doctor than my medical. After all he was getting paid for it as long as he filled in the report to the HA's satisfaction

For the urine test, just do what Slabber did and chuck him your underpants. They can also test for other stuff with them.
